2-step verification

A code from your phone as well as your password. Required for church staff.

Updated 07 Nov 2026

2-step verification asks for a short code as well as your password, so nobody can get in with your password alone. It is required for all church staff; members may be asked to use it if the church chooses.

Setting it up

  1. You're asked the first time you sign in (or open your name at the top → 2-step verification).
  2. Choose how to receive codes: an authenticator app (recommended — Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or similar; scan the QR code shown), SMS to your phone, or email.
  3. Enter the code to confirm.
  4. Save your backup codes somewhere safe. Each one works once if you lose your phone.

Lost your phone?

Use a backup code to sign in, then set up 2-step verification again on your new phone. No backup codes? Staff: ask your church administrator to reset your 2-step verification. Members: contact the church office.
